Fatherhood Programs

Strong Fathers Strong Families Project

Program Available in: Baltimore City.

Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Strong Fathers/Strong Families (SF/SF) demonstration project is a collaborative effort between the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, Campaign for our Children, Bugg, Hardnett & Associates (T/A Phyllis Wheatley Educational Centers), Optimal Solutions Group and the House of Ruth Maryland. The Baltimore City project is administered by the Baltimore City Department of Social Services and helps unmarried fathers (custodial and non-custodial) and their families in Baltimore City promote and sustain healthy marriages, foster responsible parenting, and provide economic stability. It prepares fathers for successful healthy relationships, stresses the importance of healthy marriages, encourages the rearing of children in two parent families, educates and addresses issues of domestic violence, and helps fathers secure higher paying employment. The Strong Fathers/Strong Families Grant provides services in Baltimore City. Project participation is voluntary.
